During the application process do they focus mainly on GPA, ACT, EC's, or just everything all together?? Also do they focus a lot on freshman year, junior year, or all three years??

Also does LSU consider any letters of rec. or essays to help boost your chances of getting in?

It would be better to look on their web site or ask them. He is a small part of what you will find:
There are three factors that are initially considered for automatic admission to LSU. Incoming freshman must have at least a 3.0 academic GPA calculated from academic core courses. Students must also have completed at least 19 units of college-preparatory courses. Applicants must have a minimum of SAT score (critical reading and math) of 1030 or at least a composite ACT score of 22. Students not meeting those requirements for automatic admission are still encouraged to apply. LSU can take other factors into account to predict your potential for success. Some of these factors may include: choice of degree program, rank in class, credit in advanced placement or honors courses, rigor of the high school curriculum, grade trends, extracurricular activities, and letters of recommendation.
