Before it said "Status: Complete Ready for Review" now it says "Decision: Admit: Pending"

Off the UIUC web site:

Decision Status List
Committee Review: Application held for final review.
Complete - Ready for Review: Application referred to committee for review.
Deferred - Manual Review Req: Special circumstances are present (e.g., transfer coursework, Business applicants, no high school rank provided).
Pending Decision: Application held for initial review.
Pending - Special Requirement: Applicant must complete special requirement (e.g., audition, interview, portfolio).

I believe it means you will find out the final decision within a week or so.

I thought you were already rejected Jack D. Have they reconsidered!?

complete ready for review means they have everything they need and your decision will follow.

I thought ADMIT written in any way meant you were in. Maybe not, or maybe there is a caveat (ie. you were admitted to a different college, admitted offered a different program etc)

BUT, Decision: Admit:Pending is not on their list of interpretations.

CALL THEM

I was rejected from UIUC but i also applied at UIC.

"BUT, Decision: Admit:Pending is not on their list of interpretations."

I know, i looked that up last night and can't find anything close to that. That is why i thought that you guys would know but i guess that no one has heard of that. It says that they already made a decision and that i was admitted(i guess) but then they tacked on "pending" and i have no idea what they mean.

It looks like a mix of two different things: There is "Admit" and there is "Pending" but not both.

Well i sent an email to UIC asking them what it meant. I should know in a few days what is going on, assuming that my application status does not change before then.

"I should know in a few days what is going on, assuming that my application status does not change before then."

Ha! Obviously you haven't dealt with the bureaucracy that is UIC. When I was applying to years ago, they accidently interpreted my residency status as "international." It wasn't straightened out until like July after I graduated from high school. I would nag and nag often if you want anything accomplished.

Well, i got my acceptance letter today, so everything was straighted out in 36 hours. Not too bad.

awesome, congrats

Oh...jack you're a transfer student???? If you are, what college are you from and what were your stats?
