So I got a letter from UMich and they said they want my grades so far this year to make a final choice. I'm having a bad feeling......I dunno what to do. Do they have a mid year report form that I can't find or something?

Speaking from a transfer student perspective, you got deferred and are required to send in your grades for your 1st semester. It's not good but it's not bad either. There are students who get in from being deferred.

Also, if you are a transfer student, they are requesting mid year grades from all transfer students so that they have the most up to date information.

If you're not a transfer, my guess is they want to look at the overall trend in your grades from Sophomore year on.

Thats the "good deferral" from what I hear. Hope you haven't been slacking!

Your HS counselor should have a generic mid year report form. At our school they send mid year reports with letters telling the ad comm what the kid has done since applying - new activities, etc. They send them to all the schools you have applied to.
