so i was deferred earlier with the good deferral letter but i still sent in my mid year grades because they were the best i've done in my 4 years. all my friends who were deferred have heard back but i haven't so i called them to see if they received my mid-year and they have. i also asked if it was reevaluated after getting the midyear and he said "generally applications are reviewed when new material comes in" so does this basically mean i didn't get in?

Don’t worry! Michigan will personally e-mail you if they decide to reject you. No college will ever leave things like this in the fog.

but after getting the good deferral i thought i would get in right away since my grades were good this semester, since theyve already seen that and not accepted me it must mean im not getting in right?

Don’t make a mountain out of a molehill here; it’s best not to overanalyze. Again, Michigan will personally e-mail you if they decide to reject you.

amittal u cant say that u are not getting in just because you haven’t heard anything from them yet. I believe that the admission office want to see how many students are actually going there and they will start to admit people from the deferral pool based on that.

amittal, i got deferred (got the good deferral) on December 22, and I still haven’t heard back yet!

Yeah I wouldn’t stress out about it, I was deferred November 9th ( or near) and haven’t heard back yet either. Though note, I recieved the worst deferrel letter and the school does not reject to ER apps at all. I would, more or less, expect most will hear back starting around mid-late March.
