What does this mean?

I got a letter in the mail from my college of choice saying they couldn’t make a decision until they recieved:

My fall grades

My final transcript after graduation

Does this mean I didn’t get in or is it like waitlist?

I thought I was a shoo-in to get into this school(UTD) too. =/

Also, they only recieved my app a week ago if that makes any difference.

It sounds like your school has not sent the info required. I would check with your GC.

But the two things that they are requesting are non-existent at the present. ^_^

Was that the exact wording of the letter (can't make a decision until...)? You ought to call them and ask, but I'm thinking it means that if/when they offer you admission, you will still need to eventually provide those items.

Exact Wording (that's relevent):

We require more information to make an admission decision about your application. Please submit the following documents as soon as possible.

Final Transcript after Graduation

Fall grades

When we recieve the above information, we will proceed with the admission review process.

Hmmm. And you are applying as a freshman, correct? I would definitely call them first thing Monday. That letter makes no sense to me.

That is a form letter. In your case, they are asking for your fall grades. What they are saying is that they do not have your transcript. You will be accepted based on your latest grades, but they will also require your school to send in your final transcript upon graduation. If your grades should drop below certain level, they will rescind their admission.
