Haha, no I don't go to Harker... I live in Southern California...

But yeah, I first heard of your school from reading this blog, Miss Couturable. I guess you would know Noel Duan then?

Lol, I sit face-to-face in AP Stats lol :)

And she's in my advisory :)

this is a small world...
(my physics teacher rejected me from an extension on a lab...-__-)

(sorry, i had to re-post to see if anybody would answer)

no, like i didn't really intend to apply for financial aid, but i got two letters encouraging me to finish them? what does that mean? that i have to finish them before they can make the decision of whether i'm accepted or not?

It doesn't mean anything. I'm sure you got in, though

I got those letters a while ago, too. I kinda disregarded them.

I'm pretty sure that whether or not you apply to financial aid does not make a difference in whether you get a decision or not. Did you say that were intending to apply for aid on your application? That's why they may be bugging you about it. Or maybe they just want to let everyone that hasn't applied that they can and should probably apply. Just my thoughts on the matter.

no, the admissions process is completely separate from financial aid. however, it probably would be a good idea to submit it... it would suck if you got accepted but were ineligible for aid because you forgot or simply never finished submitting your financial aid forms. then again, if you can afford USC then go ahead and do whatever you want...

i'm going to finish it..it is actually only form i haven't submitted.. the thing is that if i get accepted, i will get the usc presidential scholarship because i'm national merit finalist..but that actually worries me because they might judge me harder than say somebody who gets in with no scholarship...i don't know..

and thanks for the clarification for the financial aid - admission decision thing..there is someone on this site claiming that you are required to finish your financial aid application before you can hear from usc.. so i got worried

Well, they're wrong. >_>

candy45, I misunderstood your question, I'm really sorry for the confusion. All I meant is that the deadlines had passed about a month ago, but you can certainly hear from USC without submitting them.

no, no..you were very clear with what you were saying. i understood what you meant. there is someone on another forum saying that usc requires FA applications from every applicant

my friend applied, but her father refused to fill out the forms for her, so i'm not sure what's going to happen there..

I still have "You're application is being reviewed..." date 12/12, though that date is leftover from another update.

I'm starting to get very anxious.

Is anyone still in prelim review? I'm not, but wondering if anyone is

WOO I GOT IN AND JUST FOUND OUT!!!!

my first college decision... whew.

how come they didnt enclose financial aid info?

My last update was on 2/23 saying it is being reviewed.

Congrats cassielam09!!

I've heard they'rea mailing fin aid packages later on in March.

For those who got their acceptance packages/letters, how did it arrive? Is it in like a large envelope with anything special printed outside?

I just logged on to check my status again and I had the same status (Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee....) as when it changed previously (around 12/19), but it was updated today:

Status last updated: 03/10/2009

What can this mean :o

It's a big white envelope with USC written in red I believe on the front.. I can't really remember exactly because as soon as I got it, I ripped it apart. It's pretty unrecognizable now lol
