That's what I was thinking too. I looked at all those who got in so far, they all have extremely high SAT/ACT scores.

I have a question for you guys...

I have taken 18 AP/honors classes (8 AP/10 Honors) and I have a 3.65 GPA.

My friend has taken 10 AP/Honors classes and has about a 3.95 GPA.

She got in already, but which is better? Apparently a higher GPA? I'm not sure... I thought they wanted a more rigorous schedule though... She had a 31 on the ACT fyi, no SAT score.

I got the OASIS link (the specific/missing documents) and the date change on my status the same day I first got access to logging into the site where you can book Explore USC... so I'm thinking that it means an acceptance... but who knows.

the gap between the two wouldn't be as big if the gpa's were weighted. but, i'm not sure if they look at weighted or unweighted. i know that they take note of how rigorous your schedule is.

I hope you're right about sending lower scores later - my guess was that the people that got in already were "auto-accepts" based on great SAT and GPA

exactly what i meant, englishphoto.
I think that the first were accepted mostly because of their high scores.
i think it will come down to other stuff for those with the 28/29 ACT's and 1950-2100 SAT's.

I thought the same thing englishphoto91. I had a feeling they had some sort of auto accept program where people with certain test scores were automatically admitted. I hope we all get in! I bet next week will be THE WEEK.

My brother got in the second wave/week about 3 years ago.

when i applied i had 3.96 gpa on my transcript, but 28 on my act.
i have many awards on a regional, state, national level.
but i truly think that my act is what has hurt me so far in the process.
my sat is somewhere in the middle of the range. (decent but not really that good)

Yeah that's me - 29 ACT. I had strong grades first semester this year (All A's) But I hear USC put more weight on standardized tests than GPA but Idk...

Candy mines this annoying thing saying that it hasn't been processed yet.. but I called and they said it had been processed and to ignore the status. But then I logged in on the oasis link after I made the account and it said my application was being reviewed and I'd hear by April 1st.

i really hope they put more weight into stadardized test scores, i think my gpa is what is hurting me. i have a 31 ACT, have a lot of AP's, but just under a 3.7 gpa :/

I called yesterday morning asking about my status... which has been "Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don't receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th" since 12/21. When I checked my status again last night, the date last updated was still the December date... but I just logged on again and noticed that there's now a 3/13 update with the same status. What does this mean? I am so worried... A LOT of people got in from my school already...like 40+

^^ That's what happened to me on the day of my acceptance. I still had that same status update from December, but the date just changed to 3/11/09.
