what dont you like about georgetown? sorry if this has been posted before but i think its a preety good way of finding out about a college

For such a preeminent university, Georgetown has facilities that seem quite sub-par to those of schools on a similar academic level. I was much more impressed when I visited schools like ND and Duke that have everything from state-of-the-art gyms to specialized academic buildings. As for Lauinger Lib..well...at least it serves its function.

With that said, however, aesthetics are quite superfluous. The campus is beautiful in its very own distinctive way and your education will still be top-notch. I can find very, very few things to quip about...and I think most Hoyas would agree : )

I've never attended/visited Georgetown, so I dunno if this helps.

the religious thing. I'm agnostic, and while I dig learning about religions, i'm not so into the religiously-affiliated nature of Georgetown, even though from what I hear it is not really a big deal at all.

Plus, I've heard that the endowment is lame, so $$ for facilities are not as plentiful.

Library is ugly. Food sucked (well, at least during the summer).

Specific to me -- it's too close to home.

the library's kinda small compared to most other college libraries, but then again the largest library in the world is like 30 minutes away. and the food... is college food. not great/not terrible. but there are so many other great places around to eat at (Wisemillers!)
