Hi everyone, this is my first post so excuse my extreme noobness!

Currently I am lacking in extra-curriculars and do not know what to do. I guess the problem with me is that if I join a club I don't like (eg. a filler club), I cannot genuinely enjoy being in the club and contribute towards it. I am interested in the whole psychology/sociology scene, along with the overall idea of helping people and encouraging other people to help as well. I am at a newly built and established school, so there is definitely room to start a club, but I just don't know what the exact blueprint of the club should be. I am also a junior, so that definitely adds pressure too! Feel free to be honest with me and any answers are appreciated!

I would strongly recommend creating your own club! If you do so, start with a mission. Do you want to have meeting discussions about psychology or helping others? Raise awareness? Donate to charities? Create service projects?
You can also check out student internships or volunteer jobs around your area. Maybe even look online and see if there are any online blogs/vlogs/projects that interest you. Don’t worry about how impressive it is as long as you enjoy whatever extracurric you choose to take on. Sometimes people sweat over the status of their EC. It isn’t honorable or exclusive or renowned enough. While those factors may help, your personal investment of dedication and passion will show on your applications and through the experience gained.
