Hey all, I'm currently majoring in Economics and am seriously considering a minor in math. I do enjoy math, but working purely with math doesn't really set well with me, although I do want higher education in it. So, if I do get a minor in math, what good can it do for me as opposed to just getting a degree in Econ?

It can make you feel like you got more out of your college education. It can give you something to be proud of and to interest you. It can help you grow intellectually.

Don't do a minor for industry jobs. Be careful about doing it for grad school. The only overwhelming reason to do it would be for yourself.

For econ, it would probably be helpful to show that you have a higher-level understanding of mathematics, which of course are key in just about any economic activity and study.
