What GPA do you think is needed to transfer into USC?

thanks, what about engineering?

tends to be one of the harder ones, comparable to psychology, poli sci, sociology, biology. Many engineering majors are impacted and competitive to get into.

The hardest majors to get into usc as a transfer tends to be Marshall school of business for business admin and communication studies in the annenberg school of communication.

get a 3.8 gpa or higher and close to a 4.0 pre-req gpa to be competitive for engineering. This is the same advise for UCLA and Berkeley as well.

What about Soc?

get a 3.8 gpa or higher and close to a 4.0 pre-req gpa to be competitive for sociology. This is the same advise for UCLA and Berkeley as well.

What GPA do you need for economics?

3.8++

Econ/Business/film/communications/accounting is what USC is most known for.

nevermind, i answered my own question.

3.8 just to be safe?

yeah, 3.72 is the average gpa between all majors, 3.8+++ for the more competitive ones.

is Soc one of the more competitive ones? It isn’t known for Sociology is it? I know it is one of the top 40 sociology schools, in one of the rankings.

Anyone know what it takes to get into USC’s Accounting as a transfer? No one on the regular transfer forum seems to know

What’s the foreign language requirement for economics? I know you need a foreign language course, but does 2 years of high school foreign language satisfy this requirement? Or what’s the deal?

What is “TAP”?

usc doesn’t have TAP.

USC makes you take 3 college semesters worth of spanish, you can take the placement exam but 1 semester doesn’t fufill their requirements.

What about Computer Science. I have a 2.60 GPA cumulative and I am trying hard to raise it up, but it’s not going to go up to a 3.0 this year. Can I still get in, possibly?

just curious, what do you plan on doing as a sociology major?
