What happens at Weekend on the Square?

I’m debating whether to go to Weekend on the Square this weekend. I’ve read the summary of the event on NYU’s website but can anyone who’s actually gone to one before weigh in on this? I heard that a lot of time gets taken up by musical performances or something? I mostly just want to go for the information sessions and campus tour.

Id like to know this too. I’m going there next week.

At my WotS last year, my day started with a presentation about my school/program (LS) from the Dean and a senior. Then I believe we went to the keynote event where the Dean of Admissions talked about our class and what it meant to have gotten in and yes, the winners of UltraViolet Live (the university-wide talent show that is famous for Lady Gaga placing second in when she was here) performed. I then went on a campus tour (took about 30 minutes) and only had time to see one residence hall (it was a super quick, in-and-out tour of Brittany that took maybe 10 minutes).

Is there any kind of guide somewhere? Our school session is on Sunday, but due to our flight time we don’t have a lot of time beyond the session that day. We want to do the other stuff on Saturday.

@NTXDad I believe the “other stuff” runs goes from about 10-3 on both days. I found my schedule for WotS last year, but it’s only the Sunday schedule.

@seeniebeenie Thanks, How did you get the schedule? Also, we want to meet with the financial aid people. Is that a first come first served thing? Are there appointments? Where do we go for it? The lack of info ahead of time is annoying for us left brained folks who like to plan things out.

@NTXDad I got it when I checked in at WotS last year. For the financial aid people, it’s walk-in based. You go into the FA office at 25 W 4th Street, fill out a card, and they call your name when it’s your turn to go over your FA package.
