What happens if you mess up one semester of high school?

Hi, I had a question. I'm a sophomore in high school.

I messed up my first semester of sophomore year by getting 2 C's (In 2 AP's). I suffered from self-harm and anorexia due to family problems during the summer before sophomore year and the first half of it, causing my grades to drop. I went through therapy and am currently recovering. My grades will probably be all A's and 1 B this semester. How bad is this in terms of college admissions?

What kind of schools are you looking at/thinking about?

Like Etuck24 said, it depends on the college. For Ivies and the quasi Ivies, Cs might kill your chances (but who knows). For other schools, even those a tier down, a couple of Cs aren’t a huge deal. You should know that many students, even those at highly selective schools didn’t have a perfect high school transcript. Obviously good grades are great, but the reality is, people slip up and may not perform at the standard they were used to.

Just make sure to continue to get excellent grades so those two Cs are just an anomaly on your transcript.
