cocoa puffs for me

all-nighters? Never pulled one on a school night haha…now that I think about it, the latest ive ever been up was till 4AM…but I remember drinking a ton of coffee

Coffee and 5-hour energies. But all-nighters? I have -never- pulled one in my high school career.

I for one pull one every 2 weeks or so and stay up past 3 weekly.

What my repeated torture has taught me?

Too much coffee gets you nowhere. It can seriously screw you up (I am slightly caffeine sensitive, but regardless, it applies to everyone)

Use coffee with a grain of caution.

take a cold shower

My innate ability to survive without sleep ;)

I’ve only had to pull off one all-nighter (although there was the time I skipped school to finish a paper as well) I got through it with coffee, Vault sodas, and the realization that there was no other way to pass 11th grade English.

And I was so tired the next day that after turning in the paper I left school early “sick.” I’m not good with having limited sleep. I need at least 5 hours or I WON’T make it through the day.

I personally can do without sleep but not without food, so it’s not so hard for me. But music helps- especially songs that I can sing and know the lyrics to.

Meh, if it takes me longer than 3 A.M. to finish an assignment, I just skip the next day and work on it. I rarely do this though. I only do it around twice a semester (i.e. 4 times every school year)

If you manage your time well, you wouldn’t need to pull all nighters lol

touche, micro good music definitely helps. or you can vigorously exercise for a minute.

Knowing that my fellow overachieving classmates also pull all-nighters gets me through at that awkward 4-AM stage.

Haha. Just kidding.

Actually, OP, that’s a pretty good question. I once read somewhere that one of Martin Luther’s followers put sand in his mouth so that he could stay awake studying the “95 Theses.” Not that I’d ever try that.

You know what works fairly well? Pain. I usually end up stabbing myself with a pencil to help me focus. Or I bite my finger. I’m not emo (or a cannibal); pain actually stops me from dozing off and drooling on my textbooks about 50% of the time. The other half of the time I pass out from sheer exhaustion. (It’s fun.)

I’ve never had an all-nighter, but I have stayed up pretty late (for me, that is lol. the latest was about 1 AM and I ended up not going to school the next day).

music usually distracts me. caffeine has virtually no effect on me, so coffee wakes me up because of the heat. I also think it’s just been wired into my brain that coffee=awake, so it probably is psychological too.

YES 4 AM IS SUCH AN AWKWARD TIME.

Red bull and gummy worms. I eat a gummy worm like every 30 minutes, it’s like a sugar boost that keeps me up. Though I’ve developed such a high caffeine tolerance that it usually takes 2 cans of redbull. It’s bad.

I’ve only pulled like 3 all nighters, though I am up until 3 pretty regularly. If I really can’t finish, I usually just skip the next day of school or go late or something.

I’m more of a sleep-all-nighter kind of guy.

^ + 10 cool pts for Jimbo

The latest I’ve ever stayed up is 3 A.M. I managed to stay awake through drinking three liters of strong tea. That and the sheer terror of getting a bad grade kept me awake. I did get a hundred on it though.

Going for a run outside in the middle (like 3 or 4am). No music, just jog for 20 mins or so and relax. Always helps me focus and gives me energy to get through it.

^that would be so scary…

MICRO. You CANNOT give out cool points. YOU’RE NOT A CERTIFIED LENDER OF COOL POINTS LIKE ME.
