St. Joseph’s Prep here in philly. We send at least 45 kids every year to the Ivys not including the top 25 schools

Anyone here

whoa, that's a lot of kids.. how many do u have total?
i doubt u'd know it... kno ne central jersey schools?

hey bballplaya I know some guys that go to the prep that are applying to penn. i go to roman catholic high.

U go to Roman Chocoman. Roman Sucks. just kidding lol. How many seniors at Roman applying to Penn and do u know of anyone applying to Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Swarthmore, Yale). What r their stats like. I heard Roman always has a lot of people applying to penn. What r ur stats (SATs ECs hook rank)

we have 3 going ED to Penn myself included, like 15 applying RD.

Harvard, Stanford and Yale we have 0 applicants. Princeton we have like 1, MIT we have 2, Duke was have like 2, Swat we have like 2. Most kids are applying to Drexel, I have no idea why drexel sucks.

Most stats are in the 1300's, some high 1200's too.

What schools r u applying to, Chocoman. ME: Stanford, Princeton, Penn, Yale, Swat, Tufts, Vassar, Harvard, St. Joes's, and Amherst.

Penn, Columbia, Swat, Haverford, Vassar and St Joes.

I need a couple more match schools... but thats probably where I'm gonna apply.

Chocoman, what r ur SATs scores? R u real close with ur GC. My GC barely knows my name. How does ur counselor do recommendations at Roman. Do u guys meet or something or have u been hanging out in GC office every yr

roman has a GC specifically for the top 25 students. And he also teaches the AP history class where the requirement to get in is be in the top 25. so thats how he gets to know us.

I have 1470, and then 740/740/670

wow that is actually a brilliant method.
needing to have a certain rank to take a class

Chocoman, what is ur screen name so i can IM u if u have i or just send it to me private message so its not all over the thread

Chocoman, what is ur screen name so i can IM u if u have i or just send it to me private message so its not all over the thread

I pm'ed it to you. and its in my profile.

yeah we only have 4 AP classes at my school and theres only one period of each of them. So there's a fairly high demand so each teacher has a method of finding a class of 20-25 students.

In AP History you had to be in the top 25, if someone in the top 25 didn't want to take it the offer would go to 26, then 27 and so on.

In AP English you needed to get over a 630 on the junior year PSAT verbal.

In AP Calc there was a "draft" of sorts that took into account your precalc grade and SATs.

In AP Bio, there was no requirement since nobody wants to take it. The only kids in it are ap whores like me.

And theres only 3 kids taking all 4 ap's myself included. I tried to warn everyone else that colleges like AP's.... but NOOOO they didn't listen.

i go to villa walsh academy in morristown, nj.
