What if I College Match and am denied from Finalist?

I am looking to apply to QB and was wondering if I get rejected from being a finalist, could I then go on to do Early Decision separately?

Keep in mind that the notification date for finalists (Oct. 21) is close to the ED date for many colleges, so you should plan accordingly.
