I am just admitted to TAMU engineering college, how could I transfer my credit, and how much credit could I transfer?
According to a Transfer Course Credit Policies released by TAMU, it says that “Acceptance of transfer credit for engineering courses will generally be limited to those courses taught in the freshman and sophomore years at this institution.” Do I have some chances to transfer more credits than it limits?
What upper level engineering classes do you have transfer credit for?
Analysis of Algorithms, Operating Systems, Advanced Computer Architecture, Software Engineering, Database Systems and Artificial Intelligence. It’s of a great amount, is’t.
Step one is to send your transcripts to admissions with a cover sheet with your UIN http://admissions.tamu.edu/pdfs/Doc_ID_Sheets.aspx. Then review if the courses transfer (they may or may not) you can find transfer course equivalents here https://compass-ssb.tamu.edu/pls/PROD/bwxkwtes.P_TransEquivMain . Then wait until you see an advisor - they will look at the list & advise you as to which (if any) to accept and when. You have until the semester before graduation to accept transfer credit. It is a case by case decision.
