What if ... late teacher rec?

<p>For commonapp, I have asked my teachers back in September for teacher recs, and one has written me one very early; however another has not.
She said she will be more than happy to write me one, but asked me to remind her before it's due. I reminded her three times, and even before the winter break telling her that it's due by the end of the December. She said she will write me one, but she has not sent in her recommendations yet. I waited until Christmas ended and I sent her an email yesterday morning, but I still have not received her replies.
What happens if she does not check her emails and completely forgets about my recommendation until the due date is over?</p>

<p>im on the same boat, except i was an idiot and didnt tell my teachers till the day before christmas break. haha. hopefully the admissions offices have enough paperwork to not even look at your application (and mine) before the teacher rec gets there</p>

<p>I’m having the exact same problem. Also sent an email yesterday morning. Don’t think our teachers will get back to school until the 1st.</p>

<p>UGH!</p>

<p>Don’t worry about this. Once you get back to school, check with them again.
My Dd’s college didn’t get one of her recs for some reason, even though the teacher sent it. (This was before everything was online.) The school contacted the teacher through the counselor, and the teacher faxed the rec that day.
The colleges don’t blame the student for late recs. Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon. They won’t start reading the applications until they are back in January, so you still have a little time to “badger” your teachers when you get back to school. But badger nicely. ;)</p>

<p>Thank you  :(</p>

<p>hmm hopefully they will send it</p>

<p>i have the same problem! my teacher is on vacation so i have no way of contacting her. i feel bad for contacting them during break anyway. will they be able to submit their recommendations after the deadline? will colleges accept it?</p>

<p>I don’t think you can turn in your common app without ALL the school forms. I’m sorry about that.</p>
