<p>I applied ED to BU. </p>
<p>My teacher just told me that she lost the common app rec paper TODAY. The application was due 11/01. WOW. Late much?! The BU applicant link didn't tell me it was missing either, so I assumed everything was swell. </p>
<p>I am so worried right now.</p>
<p>Does anyone know what's going to happen...? Or, what should I do?</p>
<p>I'd talk with your college counselor about the options. Has the teacher said that she'll get the rec in pronto now? Do you have your other recs in? Do you have another teacher who could fill in if this teacher doesn't follow through?</p>
<p>Call up the school Monday, but since it's beyond your control it's probably okay.</p>
<p>BU said it was required that I had a counselor rec and a teacher rec. My counselor sent everything in on time, but my teacher... not quite. I just received an email from her today. She has yet to reply.</p>

<p>Is there an advisor/counselor assigned to you from BU? You might want to send him/her an e-mail advising that this situation has just come to your attention and you'll be working to rectify it as soon as possible.
You might try going to your school even tho it's Saturday & see if the college counselor is around & can talk with you about this (sometimes they are around & available).
As was said, since it's beyond your control, BU SHOULDN'T hold it against you.</p>
<p>you probably should have checked in with your teacher about whether or not they completed their form at least a day or two before the app was due. maybe keep that in mind for regular deadlines?</p>
<p>i used the online rec system. my teacher turned in a rec after 3 days after the due date and the college i applied to got it.</p>
<p>Contact admissions and ask. It is probably fine. I was worried about my teachers not completing the forms on time, so I emailed admissions; they said it was perfectly fine and very common.</p>
