What is a "high enough" SAT score for Ivies?

Hey guys! This question has been bothering me for quite a bit of time...I know there might not be a "right" answer, but I'm feeling really frustrated so any help is appreciated!

As I want to apply to competitive colleges (these are my "reach" schools) on the East Coast (Princeton, Harvard, etc), I'm afraid my SAT scores are not nearly good enough. I got a 2240 the first time, but dropped to a 2190 the second time! If we were to super score it, I would have a 2280: 720, 800, 760.

My questions: should I retake the SAT? I'm afraid that I won't have enough time to study for it and may do even more poorly since it'll be my senior year coming fall. Is my SAT score good enough if I have 800s in my subject tests, leadership/club experience and will have a projected volunteer hour count of around 400? I don't really want to take the ACT since I already invested so much time in the SAT...

All responses are greatly appreciated. :)

your scores are all fine for the Ivies. No need to take it again. Focus on other things, rather than taking the SAT again.

There’s no “high enough” SAT, there are people with 2300+ who don’t get in and people with 1800 that do (believe me, I know personal examples of both). So, yeah, focus on other aspects and be done with the SAT!

Yayyy! I was getting really sick of the test anyways. Thanks to satman1111 and dina4119 for answering! :D
