what is a wellesley interview like ?

do they ask weird questions?
i wouldn't know what to say if they asked me something like "what's your favorite tree?" (a ponoma interviewer did that !)

I had my interview on-campus last month. She asked about my favorite subject in school and my extracurriculars – nothing out of the ordinary.

do you think it went well ? :)

The woman I talked with was really nice, and we even had a few things in common! Other than some pauses in between questions, I do think it went well, though it did still feel like an interview.

I went through the process just last year. The interview is not a big issue at all. Just try and enjoy yourself. Basically, when I had mine, the alum sat down right away and said that she wasn’t “evaluating” me; she was just having a conversation with me about a school I was interested in. She kept her word. It did just feel like a conversation about Wellesley. Don’t worry too much.

I had a transfer interview so it may have been a bit different, but there were no “off the wall questions.” We discussed (yes, discussed) my academic goals, my interests, “why Wellesley,” and the city we were in. I also asked her questions.

Overall, it was a good experience.
