I caught on another thread that your S is working at school this summer. I sensed some real sadness, and I hope you are doing okay with it.
(Hugs) Has he found an internship? Has Swat been helpful in that light?

Hi,
My son is working in the library on the Peace collection. Just a regular job, not internship or anything. But Swarthmore did help him with it. He also has a place to stay there, so we did not object. Thanks for asking..

I am ok. Just that the "empty nest" feels real empty now that he is so independent.

Anyway, congrats on your daughter's wedding, and hope you have a great summer!

Achat, is your son finding many other kids on campus with whom to hang out? When we were there for D's wedding (thanks for the congrats . . .we are still so glad it went so beautifully) we didn't see many students about. Glad he found a place to stay. I anticipate that S1 will opt to stay at school in the summers. There really is not much to do here of merit, and the jobs are all minimum wage. Brown expects student contribution much higher than that of Swat. Sigh.

momofthree, that's the trouble, he has too many friends!! Every time I call there is a barbeque party going on there! (So I don't know how much money he is saving...) :)
