What is aid like in York (toronto) for internationals?

I have an SAT score of about 1900. Whether need based or merit based is not my point. I want to apply to Canadian Universities that could provide me enough aid for me to not pay more than $4000.

I know an international who got an 1800 in her SATs and got a $20000 scholarship to York,

How easy is it?

There are no scholarships of that magnitude at Canadian (publically funded universities) other than top ones, but usually those are $20K for all the years and usually there is only one per top university…to my knowledge; and students must be nominated for these (applications are not automatic) and SATs are likely meaningless in the Canadian context; particularly one as low as 1800.

I’d recheck your source…it is very suspect. Maybe this international was also bragging about skiing in Toronto in July as well?

If you are American the University of Windsor charges only $5000 (US Neighbour fee rate) Aside from that I cant think of any Canadian University that would let you pay so little. There are very few scholarships for internationals and what there is goes only to the top students. I sincerely doubt that you would qualify for that level of aid.
