<p>As the title says, what, in your opinion, is an acceptable ACT score for an unhooked applicant to Duke? I realize that there are a variety of other factors that are important, but assuming that the applicant has very strong extracurriculars and a high class rank, what ACT score would be necessary?</p>

<p>I don’t know what the range would be. So, one data point (hoping you get others): our unhooked son had ACT=35 and is now at Duke.</p>

<p>You can google “common data set” 2009 duke … and you will see what the ACT scores look like for those who have been admitted. If 2009 isn’t there, try 2008.</p>
