What is an 'Indian Education'?

<a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/02/business/worldbusiness/02japan.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/02/business/worldbusiness/02japan.html</a></p>

So apparently there is a craze in Japan where they are seeking out indian private schools which offer a bad a$$ rigorous schedule of teaching 3 year olds to use computers and 5 year olds to write essays.

While I'm all for pushing kids in education, I feel like this kind of education is based in educational extremism that might work in poor developing countries where you have a large population with little else to develop besides rote theoretical education. (for the record, I am not racist against Indians, I had a Sikh girlfriend for three months once). And this is still saying nothing of the mental physical duress put upon these toddlers just to get into a great college....

I think overall its a good program, but people should be very careful when choosing this for children...

any comments or libel?
