What is easier the SAT or the ACT for math

Is the math section on the SAT easier then the one on the ACT?

In my opinion, the difference is that the SAT math is trickier, while the ACT math tests slightly higher level math in a more straightforward way. The level gap between the two tests closed slightly with the New SAT, but the ACT still tests slightly more advanced math.

So the answer (as it often is) is that it depends. If you're good a tricky math problems, the SAT might be easier for you. If you know a decent amount of math but prefer a straight-ahead question style, the ACT might be for you. Not that the ACT is a cake-walk...it's just more like what you probably see in school.

so... a 790=36???

790 seems more like a 35. 36 means no questions wrong, 790 can be achieved with 1 or more wrong. Even if ACT qestions are more straightforward, the dificulty differece isn't that great when you consider that ACT expects you to work much faster.

Also the ACT math curve is really annoying, to get in the range 30-36 you can only get 6-7 wrong out of 60.

greygoo... 790 can be achieved with 1 or more wrong? not anymore... it used to be 3 wrong for an 800!!! now 1 wrong is a 790... and actually my friend got 2 wrong on the act and still got a 36... weird huh?

Sorry, I take that back, you can 8 wrong and still get a 30.

What's the equivalent SAT to a 33 Math?

When I took them the SAT had alot more algebra while the ACT had alot more Trig, so whatever suits you more.

If you know SOH, CAH, TOA the Trig is a breeze.
