The OC too unrealistic? More like impossible lol. But it was an awesome show, I admit.

do they speak primarily english?

A lot of people are bilingual and speak perfectly in either language. Some people have accents, but most of the time, you wouldn’t be able to tell that Spanish was their first language.

^^ I meant not too unrealistic in terms of what SoCal people do and the whole geography bit.

at my school, people don’t really go to tijuana. some do, but it’s not a thing that really happens that much. but tons of people go to Cabo during spring break or in the summer. and mammoth/big bear in the winter.

haha the mexican food thing is funny, and true!

we say “dude” so much!! and we also say “chill” a lot. as in, “that’s chill.” or “want to chill at my house”, “she’s really chill” etc.

doesnt everyone say “dude” and “chill” ?

^ yes (10 char)

I like to live in california because it have nice people and its beautiful buildings. I also like Caribbean buildings. Because Caribbean architects projects feature.
I’ve never been to CA but from reading about it, and seeing it on television, I would NEVER want to leave there. I am VERY East Coast.

I like seasons. I like snow. I like hail. I like humidity (sike). I like foliage. I like liberals. I like the Atlantic ocean. I love being able to drive up the entire East Coast to beautiful places like Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Vermont. I just LOVE the East Coast. Plus, I can never be too far from my homestate of NY. :D

What place allows you to experience beautiful shores, and lighthouses, and go bird watching, and play in the snow while drinking hot cocoa with marshmallows, and cozy up next to a fireplace, and relax on non-crowded beaches? The East Coast of course. :D

As you can probably tell, I have a little obsession w/ New England. lol.

^ nice bigwill. i might start a thread about what its like to live in the east coast now!
and then the south! and then the midwest!

The thing is, California is geographically so huge, that you can always find a place to do everything you listed. We actually do have season, in NorCal.

Florida Beaches vs. California Beaches

Who wins?

california wins. there’s a completely different ambiance in california. florida’s just a lot of old people.

You should definitely do that! But don’t forget to REALLY brag about the east coast. lol.

Point taken. :)

I won’t vote on the better beaches b/c I’ve never visited California before.

oh bigwill! So you may like it even better than the east coast! It has liberals, diversity, and low humidity, sounds enticing huh

I’ve been to both, but the Florida beaches were on the gulf. No waves, really hot/humid, generally lame.

onthefly, don’t tempt me! lol.

And now that you mention that, it DOES sound enticing. Hey, I think I could live without snow. Crap is cold anyways. haha.

Haven’t been to Florida’s beaches, so I can’t say I have an opinion on that.

I would be nice to visit California one day. I wouldn’t want to live there since I enjoy cold weather (even though I live in Georgia) and it’d be too busy for my liking.

Someone should definately create a thread about living in the South. Go Southerners!
