What is it that motivates you?

Overly simple and mundane quesetion.
What is it that motivates you?
But I am curious, why do you study and want to go to a good university?
And heck yes, I do want to go to a good university. But university can't be your entire life,
and I wrote a list of why I study but I want to hear from others, too. So please add. :D

Though I'm not sufficiently good at it, I honestly like studying.
(I'm lazy now. But I'm trying to fix my stable inertia. I honestly do love math and science, and get chills of inspiration when reading historical/literary work. I can fix my bad habits.)

I love teaching(=I love showing off lol)

My parents wish the best for me. They love me though I argue with them numerously. I wish to pay back. They deserve good life with good money I'll make for them.

I went through lots of hard times. But I stood up, and am consistantly developing. I wish to encourage lots of others who would have been frustrated as what I was back them, and show them that even I made it.

I wish to not waste the talent that God(please come back) gave me.

I have my teachers/mentos who saw the potential in me. I do not wish to disappoint them and want to make them proud/impressed.

I feel like heaven when somebody thanks me for helping them

If you think about it, if you die(accidentally or purposely) now, your lovers will weep but the world will soon forget you. The world is still the same without you. But I want them to remember me when I die. I want to make a change.

I have a Tiger Mom.

Plus, it’s awesome knowing stuff a month before the rest of the class.

Easy, i have tiger blood & I’m winning. my brain’s not exactly from this terrestrial realm. I can’t spell either.

Happiness.

I’m bi-winning.

On the real, failure’s something I hate. It’s the purest of hates. I refuse to fail.

The Revolution.

Its green and has dead presidents on it.

Good to see someone fighting for the Earth.

BillyMc, you are my favorite ■■■■■. Now for my input to the thread…

I am motivated by the people who inspire me. More specifically, my favorite teachers, musicians, playwrights, comedians… anyone who makes me think “I want to inspire others just as these people inspire me.” Also, I have a strong talent for music, and I intend to continue to gain valuable skills and knowledge in order to make the most of it. A successful career is within reach, so why not go for it?

Intellectual fulfillment through genuine education (not schooling) is a big part of my life too. I don’t do things just to impress college admissions people. I put the most effort into the things I like, and therefore am happy to attend any quality school with top opportunities that appreciates my interests and passions enough to accept me. I don’t take AP English and AP Music Theory because they look good on a transcript - I take them because I love reading/learning about Twain, Wilde, Shakespeare, etc, and value learning the building blocks to written music so that I can become a better songwriter.

Well, the answer could have been taken two ways, and I prefer to give others the benefit of the doubt and assume that they’re not terrible people.

Gotta make some money so we can buy donuts and such.

Hahahah
I like to listen to music before I crack open the ol’ AP exam review book every day, and now I have to add that to my playlist.
Anyways, I’m probably most motivated by the idea that once I go to college and get out of my tiny town I can start fresh. Basically all that motivates me.

That’s legit what motivates me too. Getting out of my town. Stating fresh.

Fear of Community College .
Fear of staying in freakin NY
Fear of not having a good life

So it’s

<cause that=“” motivates=“” other=“” people=“” the=“” most=“”></cause>

Self(2.3.4.5(?).6.7(?).8.10.12(haha).13.14.)=11

Parents(2.)=1

Society(8(?).)=1

Teachers(10.)=1

Others(15(?).)=1

Nice! Apologies to people I did not quite categorize right. :stuck_out_tongue:
So the taste of winning is what drives most other people the most.
Thanks for the replies! :)

I’m out for Presidents to represent me.

I’ll give you a hint

It has long hair, two circles and legs.

For the sake of my family. We’re middle class and I’m a second-generation immigrant. My parents are going to need me to be a substantial source of income when I graduate from university.

For a good life. I refuse to think about working for minimum wage. I only get one chance at life and I want to make it as good as possible. Sadly enough, I sort of associate going to a good university/college to my eventual happiness in life, though I know that isn’t necessarily true.

For myself. My ego would love to be able to boast about getting accepted to a prestigious school. Also, if I’m going to work hard, then I need a goal/eventual reward.

Winning. 10char
