Exeter students aren’t average. It is a big school and there are many students excelling in a huge range of ways, often in multiple ways at the same time. Some students like math, physics, and ballet. Some students like musical theatre, write rude jokes in Classical Greek, and play the accordion. Some students are three season athletes and knit. Exeter might want all of these students or none. Geographical diversity also comes into play.
