<p>Other than, of course, its Wharton and med programs, what is Penn best known for? Specifically, what departments are most famous? Also, what extracurricular activities is it famous for? Lastly, I've heard that its student newspaper is also excellent and is sort of Penn's "informal" journalism program. Is that true?</p>

<p>I know they are known for not a specific extracurricular but rather the fact that there are a bazillion of them. The busy nature of the students along with the fact that it is about twice the size of the other ivies (cornell excluded) means there are a ton of things to do. An obscure extracurricular: I heard they have an intercollegiate starcraft team.</p>
