<p>Yes, Yes (Emory Point for shopping. You can eat at both the Point and Village, or walk/ride up to the Clairmont area. If you want more shopping, there are Emory shuttles that go to malls, and they are of course free), and for the most part. The area is pretty nice. Any crime is a result of Emory being in metro Atlanta more so than anything else. The area is mostly high and mid income homes.</p>

<p>The main campus is surrounded by graduate schools: the School of Medicine is on the same side of Clifton road, the graduate schools in the sciences are down Clifton Road across from the Health center, and the Law school is on the other side of the road. Students can walk to Emory Village, where there are lots of small restaurants, a CVS, and a few shops. Emory Point just opened, which is also in walking distance, and has nicer restaurants and shops. The CDC is also in walking distance! Aside from that, you’ll need to take MARTA or a car to get to anywhere else of interest. But Atlanta is such a fun city, and there is always something to do. The immediate area around Emory doesn’t have much crime. It’s mostly a suburban area–lots of houses and apartments for University affiliates and CDC employees.</p>
