What is the average SAT score at your school?

CR- 480
M- 490
W- 490

Do colleges have access to the average scores for your school and compare the percentile you're in? I wouldn't think so.. Oh and sorry if something like this has already been posted.

Your school usually includes a statement that mentions the percentage of graduates who attend college, average SAT scores, etc., so admissions officers should be able to know when, say, a 2100 looks better in one school than another.

My school’s averages are:

CR - 620
M - 640
W - 610

Average scores are used more to provide context to grades than to an individual’s scores.

My school’s average ACT is about 24. Everyone has to take it, though.

Average SAT = 2041

M - 694
CR - 667
W - 680

^No way? That’s such a high average SAT.

CR - 460
Math - 450
Writing - 460

=[

Only the top ten or twenty students are competitive, the next 50 somewhat care, and the rest hardly care at all.

Math: 565
Critical Reading: 540
Writing: 532
Percent going to college: 88%

Youch.

They’re online, so I’m sure that colleges have access to the numbers. And schools usually send information like that along with counselor recommendations, I think.

^I don’t think that’s very fortunate for me, hahaha. Ah well. I do wish at times I went to a more rigorous school with more AP classes, but I would not trade them for the friends and experiences I’ve had at my school.

My college counselors are very much on our butts, and so the percent going to college is near 99%. There’s only one person out of a class of 110 or so that isn’t certain about going to college.

Wait…average scores for your high school or your future university?

Mine school hs 1800ish total, don’t know the breakdown.
100% going to college, except some crazy chick last year who decided to get married to another 18 year old instead…yeah.

^ where did you guys get this info? id like to see as well.

High school.

^ where can i get this ? is it on collegeboard?

Average scores for your high school are often listed on your school’s or your school district’s web site. If not, you can ask your guidance counselor; he/she almost definitely has access to them.

Average scores for colleges are on collegeboard.

You can almost always dig up data on your high school by looking at documents that are archived on your school district’s Web site.

i go to a small private, so i guess the district wont have this data right?

I’d say the total number of people who have even taken the SAT in my school is around 6.

Actually, you can get the data from collegeboard if you go to the score report and look at the comparisons.

^ What comparisons? it only gives it by state or the country

1523…lol. Makes me feel a bit better about myself.

^ Where did you get this info lol I cant seem to find it.
