As the title of the thread says, I would like to know what you think is the best way to buy books for classes at berkeley. Thanks in advance =]

uloop.com :D

steal them.

^ where is the best place to steal them?

Buy them in advance online. Failing that, trade around. Or see if they’re available at the library (particularly if they’re on reserve, because while you can renew a book indefinitely, a book can also be recalled from you by someone else).

As a last resort, buy used from one of the stores in town.

what is the best webiste online to buy them ? amazon ?

do they mail you a list of books you have to get over summer?

as in after i choose my classes online?

No they don’t. Some of the professors might list the textbooks they will use online or the texts can be accessed from ned’s bookstore online when the book list comes up. Be careful about buying what they used last year because a new professor might use a different book or a new edition may be released.

online or just in person
don’t even fret about books this summer though cuz anything can change (unless the professor gives the go ahead by posting whatever and whatnot)
