What is the best meal plan for a freshman?

Unlimited?
14-plus?
9-plus?
330 plan?
250 plan?

How many meals do most students eat at dining halls versus using points? Should I go for a plan with more meals of more points?

Your opinions and insights are appreciated.

I recommend starting out with the 250. You won’t have to worry about how many meals you have left for the week since they last all semester and even roll over to the next semester. This is also the meal plan with the highest amount of dining dollars–basically it allows you to eat 1 meal per day in the dining hall and about 1 meal per day with your points (like in the GSU).

The deadline for changing your meal plan is about 10 weeks into the semester, so that’s always an option too, if you don’t like the one you first chose.

i think the 14-meal + and the 250 meals are best. 250 has 1,200$ worth of spending on places like starbucks, panda express and etc all year long. the 14+ has like 400$ worth for all year round and its 2 meals a day, so its pretty good. Unlimited is for people who only want food from dining halls

IMO I prefer the 14-meal since I eliminate dinner. Besides, I heard that BU only offers Brunch and dinner during weekends, so the 14- is totally fine to me.
Besides you can add convenient points to your account. If you run out of money, you can still buy food by using your convenient points.

Remember all the plans but unlimited and kosher cost the same and you can change plans for almost the entire semester (10 weeks of each semester).
