What is the best route I should take for entry into law school?

Good day to anyone who is reading this, I recently started on an account and I just wanted to know if anyone could advise me on my entrance towards law school. I am currently, a senior at an early college high school, which means I will be graduating with an associates within a few months. As such, I have been receiving different advice based on what I should take upon entry into my bachelor’s program. One instructor pointed out that I should major in political science, and have a minor in legal studies. Whilst the other stated that your major does not have to be directly correlated towards the law.

If anyone could steer me into the right direction, it would be very much appreciated, since I am brand new to this website.

Major doesn’t really matter so long as it lets you achieve a high GPA. A high GPA and high LSAT score are the keys to getting into a good law school. They are also the keys to getting significant discounts on law school tuition. Most law schools are not worth the full tuition price, especially if you are financing by taking on non-dischargeable debt.

Law schools look for top grades and high LSAT scores. Law is actually a pretty diverse field. Degrees in business, accounting, and engineering are not uncommon. Just major is something that you’re happy in and make sure it’s marketable. There’s a good chance you’ll change your mind about law school as you mature, and you don’t want to be stuck trying to find a job with a political science degree.

Any major that requires analytical reasoning and analytical writing is good prep for law school. But any intellectually challenging major is fine.

It’s pretty clear that GPA and LSAT score rule when it comes to law school admissions, so major in something you like and will do well in. But you say you’ll be getting an AA; what was your major?

Poli Sci is fine, if that is of interest. Forget ‘legal studies’.

In reality the short answer is to major in anything in which you can maximize your GPA. The longer answer is as Publisher notes: a major that increases your analytical and critical thinking skills. (I’m a fan of philosophy.)

Maximize GPA.
Maximize critical thinking & analytical skills.
Maximize writing skills.
Maximize personal enjoyment for 4 years as an undergraduate.

Reorder the final three according to your personal preference.
