What is the cheapest way of getting from Yale to Brown and back?

<p>Surprisingly, the cost of the megabus says $6 between Yale and Boston. If only there was a megabus in Boston...</p>

<p>Metro North (the commuter train)? I know it goes to New Haven. Does it go to Providence? Likely so since it is a major medium-sized city in NE.</p>

<p>Amtrack has the most direct route and it’s the quickest. You might be able to find a Peter Pan/Greyhound bus that goes from New Haven to Hartford with a transfer to a Hartford to Providence, but it will probably double your travel time.</p>
