What is the difference between Civil Engineering and Constructional Engineering?

Hello all,
I am a high school senior looking to major in engineering. On one of the schools I was accepted into, the website for the school has Civil Engineering and Constructional Engineering listed as separate majors. Is there any significant difference between the two, and would job opportunities for both majors be similar?
I appreciate any answers I can get. Thanks!

I know the difference between Civil Eng and Construction Management, I was wondering if there is a difference between Civil Eng and Construction Eng. It seems that they take a lot of similar courses, so I just wanted to know if there is a significant difference.

It’s pretty rare to see a school that separate those two programs into different majors. Typically, construction engineering would be a concentration within civil engineering. The only college that I know of off the top of my head that has separate majors is North Dakota State University.

There is significant overlap between civil engineering, construction engineering and construction management fields. The differences will vary from school to school; the best way to tell is to look at the curricula, which you already have. Typically, construction engineering grads will get jobs with heavy contractors, while civil engineering grads usually don’t get pigeonholed.
