What is the general profile of a student admitted into the honors program at Northeastern

I know the program is new so we know very little about it however from what have you seen can you make any generalizations about what might be the rough requirements. Have we seen evidence that non-numerical factors such as gender, leadership, race, location, essays play into the decision?

The honors program is not new…

Perhaps OP meant the honors scholarship?

These are the stats that were shared to me last spring at an NEU admissions event. I had posted them previously on another thread, but here the are again:

@nanotechnology I would even hazard a guess that the Honors Scholarship is just a new name given to the merit aid they used to give to admitted students who were offered Honors. Maybe in light of University Scholars going away, they are now naming these scholarships?

All merit scholarships had names and were independent of being offered honors. Mostly they gave our what they called Dean’s scholarships. The amount of scholarship is unrelated to being offered honors (check the old accepted threads and you will see this). Some get honors without much merit and visa versa. The name honors scholarship is new this year.
