Right now, I'm in the home stretch of dealing with immature high school students and their high school "drama" (it's prom season and I'm just about ready to smack a few people -- I don't think any more elaboration is necessary). Anyway, they say that people grow up once they hit college. True story? Share your detailed anecdotes, please. What is the most drama you've experienced in your college life? Either to put my mind at ease or prep me for what's to come.

Most drama for me? Hmm… almost failing a group project with four other people in tow?

But, we aced it in the end, after numerous phone calls and lots of begging (our group project had to involve a local business).

My friend who resided on my floor in halls commited suicide. That was hard. The funeral was unbearable. She didn’t have many uni friends.

Another friend has autism and decided he didn’t want to go home at Christmas and so just took a train to London and turned his phone off; was bloody scary. He turned up though and is much happier now.

A guy and me helped my friend with his essay that resulted in both my friend and the guy getting plagarised. My friend got 0 and the guy got a warning. To be fair my friend copied things word for word…idiot.

Not all fun and giggles eh?

On one hand, there is a lot less stupid drama in college like the prom stuff you were describing. On the other hand, a lot of the drama is more serious, since everyone is older, dealing with more serious issues, and often away from home from the first time. Mental illnesses often present themselves in the 18-25 age range as well :/

The most dramatic thing I had to deal with was one of my friend’s mental issues (which she is currently being treated for) which got out of control.

Hah but 2 of my suitemates were the most obnoxious girls who would shriek incoherently about ridiculous “drama” in their friends circle, usually revolving around FaceBook and who said what and gossiping about people “Oh my Gawddd oh my gawddd…did you SEE her profile picture? WHAT is she wearing? OH my gawd…who does she think she IS? she’s not BLACK…she’s not like us…” (they’re upper middle class white women)

I had to be a strong shoulder for my newly found bestfriend and her roommate, and her ex-con boyfriend. Long story short, her roommate was a capital B who was manipulative and expected everything to go her way. And her boyfriend was an ex-con drug dealer who was convicted for stabbing some guy and he was also secretly gay…

I could write an entire book about the drama ive had to deal with and have seen in only 2 years of college

I’m with Magneto on that one.

UCSC is such a colorful place.

Mmmmm, some people grow up, but there will be those that never do.

There is immature BS in college just like in HS.

The good thing is there are a lot more people in college…so it’s easier to avoid the bs :).

Oh, where can I even begin.

Let’s just say some of these people should go back to high school where they belong.

Oh dear god. This just caused awful flashbacks of my ex-roommate and her friend. MINDNUMBING.

I didn’t have any of THAT kind of drama in college, this is the sort of thing you only have in your life if you choose to. You are fully capable of saying no to having drama queens in your life. On the other hand, I experienced some grown up drama that I would have traded for high school BS any day. Screw getting older!

People in college who act like they are in high school **** me off the most, your 1-4 years away from work and your still acting like your in grade 5 teasing others and doing xyz
-Being rejected by like 6 girls in 1 night but then making out and dry humping with #7. That night I said to myself I don’t care how many girls reject me, I’m getting some tonight and I did, LOL. It was really weird because by the time I got to #7 I was so drunk that I only my friends and the girl remember what happened. I just remember, talking to her, humping her, being on top of her, throwing up in the toilet, then going back to making out and the rest is a blur which is strange because we spent hours together.
-Finding out that I’m a ladies man because after that night I can get the hottest girl in the club on the 1st try usually.
-Watching my friend try to pick up girls and feel sorry for them, it quite sad to watch a guy with no skill, but grossly humourous. My friend walked straight up to a girl with a look on his face that says I want to have sex with you right now, and the girl ran away from him and I don’t blame her, anyone who was there would laugh there a-- out there pants.

"throwing up in the toilet, then going back to making out "

eeeewwwwww

^ same thoughts here after reading that <_<

Recieving tons of paper cuts on my fingers because some of my professors don’t believe in email. Gosh, it’s painful. :(

I could write a series of books on the drama I’ve encountered in just a year of college, haha. People blow shiit out of proportion in college.

don’t worry fellows I washed my mouth afterwords with a good scoop of clean toilet water, LOL, jk

my freshman year had the most drama from roommates to the administration and my so called “friend”. Then my personal issues with my family also peaked at the same time so it was not a good year. I actually wrote about it in my English class for a paper i had to write. It was very blunt and i unfortunately lost the paper. I just hope it is not placed in the wrong hands.
