So I got this invitation to attend the aforementioned forum, it said that it is highly selective and all this stuff, is it considered an honor or is it just another program that sends out invitations to anyone with a good PSAT score, the program itself seems interesting but you have to pay some 1600 dollars to go so again i doubt the "prestige" of the program, anyone else get this invitation.

Definitely a rip-off program. Anything that makes you pay a ton of money is not too impressive because nearly anybody can do it (as long as they have the money.)

Prestige: minimal
Value of experience: debatable, check the Summer Programs forum
General verdict: rip-off

^bingo

It’s almost as bad as the National High School Scholar Society scam.

I work for the company that offers this Forum. All of the young people invited to attend have demonstrated academic achievement and leadership potential. They are usually suggested to us by a teacher or through membership in various organizations like honor societies.

More than 95% of the kids who attend say they would recommend the program to a friend. If you want the names and email addresses of past attendees, let me know. You can check us out here: [Envision EMI: National Youth Leadership Forum on National Security (NYLF/NS)](http://www.envisionemi.com/programs/NYLF-NS.php).

I just got an invitation too. My friend had just attended it this year, and she said it was one of the best weeks of her life. She made a lot of friends that she still keeps in touch with, and she said they did a lot of work. I’m thinking about looking into doing it.

I heard they get anyone with above a 3.5

Its not selective.

I got that too, and I got the medical one too… Definately not spending all that money for it.

If you would please send me a list it would be greatly appretiated
Thank you

My son just received an invitation as well…

I am reading lots of mixed reviews out there.

Any new opinions?

I got the same thing in the mail. Don’t plan on attending it. It is a scam. I have better things to spend my money on. Don’t believe those mother****ers because they only want their money. Not worth it.

lol…@LarryAtEnvision

we all know these things are a scam…
