What is the process for someone to apply as a transfer into the accounting school?

I'm so confused with the process for someone to apply as a transfer into the accounting school.

You apply as a transfer into Marshall. You then have to spend the first semester taking BUAD 305 which is abridged accounting for transfers and once you get a reasonable grade, which I believe is a B or higher, then you can sign the form to switch your major to accounting. You technically spend the first semester as a business major though.

I transferred to USC and did the same thing myself and am about to graduate with my BS in Accounting.
