I wonder if current or past students could answer this question. Mostly people say -- well you are in DC, but my daughter does not want to go to bars and you are only going to make that midnight run to the monuments once! It seems like there is a program (something like Georgetown After Dark) on campus which offers an activity every 4 weeks or so. So if student doesn't drink, do they just hang out with friends? I know there are plenty of clubs, but I doubt they are offering Friday and Saturday night activities. Thanks for your input.

Jeez you must me be an awesome parent.

Are you a student at Georgetown?

Well, there are plenty of museums to see. Also, D.C. is a culturally diverse place rich with history and there are often events and festivals.

“I know there are plenty of clubs, but I doubt they are offering Friday and Saturday night activities.”
- So you are looking for something your daughter can do on Friday and Saturday nights specifically? Just let her have fun the way she wants to.

Disclaimer: I’m not a Georgetown student.

Thanks…I didn’t appreciate the previous negative comment on what I consider a legitimate question. I am posting on behalf of my daughter who is trying to choose a university. One of the critieria she has is what kinds of activities are available to do with friends in the evenings – obviously weekend evenings since weekday evenings are mostly studying. Of course she wants to have fun with her friends, but the question is what will that look like at different universities. She cannot get a handle on what students tend to do at Georgetown - some apartment parties, bars, occasional Georgetown After Dark, wandering around the town of Georgetown, plays on campus. Does that cover it? I’m trying to see if the university offers anything more or if they leave the students on their own.
