social life/student body/what do you guys do for fun on weekends? I visited but didnt apply because of poughkeepsie, am now considering transferring there...any help would be appreciated

Is the imbalance of male/ female felt socially?

lol, When I visited I went from NYC to Poughkeepsie. Very different.

it's funnn. i did an overnight with one of the sports teams and i had soo much fun. they have student-run things in the early evening that are essentially free and then there's parties after that. once in awhile they'll go into the city i guess but there's always a lot to do on campus. people were mad chill, i mean of course it's a very intellectual school, but it's not like you will be studying on a friday night (unless that's your thing lol). there were some really cute guys; the girls were so sweet. you don't feel pressured to drink if that's not your thing.. everyone's close, i mean the athletic teams seem to be particularly close but everyone seemed to get along.. i loved it.

Do people stay on campus during long holiday breaks?

yay! I got in! Yay!

this is random, but do people date at vassar? becasue i know at many LAC its more hooking up. not like it really matters to me, but if were talking about social life i was wondering about this

from what i saw.. yes. more so than other LACs. the students seemed to have more of a balance between academics, athletics, and a social life than other LACs I applied to.. but that's just my opinion.

Congrats, Washburn! Did you apply ED?

yeaaa congrats. redbull which other LAC did you apply to? i know people date a lot at wesleyan too

swarthmore amherst and haverford

oic, gluck!
