What is this fabled "U of Chicago-ness?" (feel free to interpret creatively)

---skip to below for short version---

Ok, so the title says it all. I have read extensively on the University's website and spent at least a few hours pouring over these forums. In several places people refer to "U-Chicago-ness."..... I have done thorough research (a couple googles) and I can't find a clear description of what exactly the U-Chicago culture is?? Its like that awkward moment when your friends make an inside joke and you don't know it but you pretend to get a good chuckle anyways.

Personally I want U of Chicago-ness to be the lifestyle associated with math and coffee (hence, my lifestyle). But that would be too good to be true.

This question is partly in jest -- I know that it will mean different things to different people; I just want to know what those things are.

---short version below here---

Describe U-Chicago's culture.

UChicago stereotypically is a place for people who focus on theory (popular phrase: “well thats great in practice, but how does it work in theory?”), who enjoy learning a little too much (“Where fun comes to die”), who appreciate a challenge (“If I wanted an A, I would’ve gone to Harvard”), and who are all around kinda quirky and kinda hipster and love Harry Potter (“I got waitlisted at Hogwarts”).
But remember that these are stereotypes and they don’t apply to most of the students, just those who live in Snell-Hitchcock (joke).
