WHAT? is this TRUE???!!!

I heard from someone that although the maximum number of times you should take the SAT is 3... its ok to take more as long as you only took 3 during your junior and senior year.

... to put it simply. I took the SAT in my sophomore year and messed up. Should i take it three more time? (as in October and November?)
- i took it once in my junior year. (June)

THanks everyone.

Take it until your satisfied with your scores. I don't think a college would penalize you for taking it sophomore year because they would know that you have gotten much smarter by now.

I don't know if it's true or not, but I always thought that if you take it more than 3 times, your scores are then averaged...

You shouldn't take it more than three times only because you look desperate and score obsessed if you do. You should've waited until senior year to take.

i heard the same thing as me.duh

i know a girl who took it 8 times...so u can take it as many times as you want....she took the ACT once though and it was better than all of her SAT scores

^^The question was not, COULD you take the SAT more than three times, but if you SHOULD take it more than three times.

Does it count as your 3rd or 4th time if you take it in October if the first time you took it it was the old SAT with only the verbal and math sections that was out of 1600? Because that's what I did but I don't know if that counts as one time or not and it was beginning of Sophomore year.
