What is Yale Admissions Doing Right Now?

I found two friends on here who I went to middle school with. CC brought us together.

I just started posting on the website a few days ago, and I already found someone I know in person on here  small world

I met my host from my official visit to Yale on here before I even knew I would be going. And then, we were hanging in his suite one night, and he said “Yea, I’m Thatguy” (he knew I was xfxjumper. I totally caught the reference to his username, and I laughed for days.

^^
Another Houstonian? Woot.

I didn’t realize there were so many people from Houston. Say, did anyone from Houston manage to get an interview?

^
Are you from Houston??
I was able to get an interview the day before Dec 1st.

I had my interview in late October… had to drive down to the galleria in the middle of a gail storm -_- are most of you guys from north or south Houston? or like the surrounding areas

I pm’d you.

Nobody’s from D/FW :(

@Abyssion
I’m from Houston! I had an interview a couple of weeks ago, but I had to drive about 30 minutes into downtown Houston where my interviewer lives because she has a small child.

Ditto on Houston

Houston as well! Hopefully DDay fares well for all of us :P

Holy cow. Houstonians on CC applying SCEA to Yale:
Owlehn
rahrahjess
RipRock
808drum
alisa530
Abyssion

Honorable Mention (other Texans):
Madshock
fgsfds

Did I miss anyone? Lol.

I think if you have friends who also applied SCEA and you get accepted, I would think about how you would feel if you were rejected/deferred and your friend got accepted, and I would act accordingly. There’s nothing wrong with being proud of getting in! But just like any other situation, it’s important to be tactful and respectful.
For facebook, perhaps:

  1. Accepted to Yale! So thrilled!
    would be better than
  2. OMG OMG OMG I GOT ACCEPTED TO YALE!!! =)))))) YAYYY
This is all theoretically speaking, of course =)

No SCEA applicants from my school. In fact, I don’t think there are any early decision/action applicants in my school… =/

We’ve got more standforders than I can count, an MIT, three caltechs, a couple columbias… i know a few pomona-ers as well

I’m unbelievably relieved to be the only scea-er, no one to compare myself to…

just all you guys… maybe that’s worse

^Same. Nobody is applying SCEA to Yale or RD to Yale, as far as I know. Some people are applying to other school’s EA/ED, but not Yale.

This, definitely, for me. Haha.

mm but we’re the only people applying that are concerned enough about it to find an internet forum to discuss yale admissions until we find out the results…

^
Sad, really. We’re all pathetic.
