What is your current UW status?

Andreaboon - Our S is OOS. He was accepted to Engineering College about 3 weeks ago. He did not apply for Honors. Like everyone here, he was notified online on his status change and his unofficial transcript loaded. He received an acceptance letter few days after, then (separately) a big welcome the next day. I believe April 1 was the cut-off for notifications. You should be receiving something in the mail if not online. At this time, you could even call them for a decision if you haven’t received anything yet. Good luck. Take care.

my status changed to “we have reviewed…” on April 1st
But my unofficial transcript isn’t loading
is this mean that i got rejected??
:(

Unfortunately, yes. It can also mean that you have been waitlisted and lots of people this year have been offered a spot on the waitlist so not all hope is lost. Good luck :).

when you get waitlisted your status never changes…

I am still awaiting my initial review (also still waiting for my high school transcript to show- but I know I’m not the only one)- I’m getting ancy- why isn’t May here yet?!?!?!

Sorry to all those who have been rejected or waitlisted. :frowning:

Do you guys get the feeling freshman admissions are winding down? I’m a transfer student and it sounds like they don’t even glance at transfer apps until they finish with the freshmen apps.

Yeah- freshmen apps should be all done by now. Freshmen have to accept by May 1st to get in- getting their letter this late in the month would be cruel.

BTW- got my missing information e-mail yesterday, scanned my high school transcript and now my status is, “We have received all materials required to review your application. Your application will remain in this status until decisions are finalized. We will inform you by postal mail when a decision is made.”

Does the unofficial transcript trick work for transfer students as well? Because I’m going to obsessively check it until I know otherwise.

I’m glad your missing docs showed up, ayla.

I hope UW gets to my app sooner than the “June to July” date they quoted me, because some of my other colleges also want a yes/no by May 1. O___O

It’s really frustrating. I also got in contact with HFS yesterday and it turns out I might not get housing because I am a transfer student. Frustrating.

Wow, really?? Do they not want to provide housing to transfer students or have the freshmen taken up all the rooms already?

I have two cats so I haven’t even asked about housing anywhere . . . I know I’ll end up in an apartment wherever I go. (And Seattle ones are so expensive, gah.)

They expect to have room for all freshmen applicants who apply by May 1st. Transfer students are priority 3, they THINK they will have room for all students who live outside the commuting distance (20 miles), which I do. But if there isn’t they have to put those students in a public area with loft beds until room becomes available. What a mess.
