What Is Your Favorite Safety School?

Probably Indiana because it's still a great business school.

uva and william and mary

^ ur prolly from VA and relatively smart...

my first choice is also the easiest to get into, it seems, of the schools i have my eye on. School of Visual Arts.

Tulane is in the top 50 yeah but since I'm already in I consider it a safety :D

BU probably

Great safeties imo: Warren Wilson, Evergreen State, UN-Asheville, New College of Florida (altho getting bit too competitive to be a considered a safety for everyone), St John's College, Agnes Scott, Arizona State, Knox College, Hendrix College, Hillsdale, Beloit, Eckerd College to name a few that come to mind...

CSU Long Beach!

I guess my actual favorite safety (before I got accepted to Tulane) was LSU. Although a little TOO much school spirit.

East Carolina University. G-Vegas baby!

oh yea and in addition to Boston University;
other safeties include Fordham, Syracuse

Miami University (Ohio)

Tulane started out as my favorite safety too, but now it's my first choice (so favorite all around)!

Hmm... I haven't visited Rhodes yet, but I'm planning to soon.
Apart from that, definitely Tulane.

Saw someone post William and Mary in here...that school is the most selective public in the country. That's no safety.

This question makes no sense, as a safety school will be different for different students with different grades, course selection, SAT scores, etc. It would be helpful to have a formula to help figure out what should be your safety school. (I saw one on CC a few days ago but did not copy it down, unfortunately).

Yeah, I think the only real "safety" for everyone would have to be a community college..

There are some state schools with a formula for admission based just on GPA/SAT so you can have guaranteed admission if you're above a certain "index", that would be a true safety school as well

sorry, guys i guess i should bust out and derive a massive formula that results in the perfect safety for everyone..., i just was trying to get opinions, not precise answers for everyone to go by

^^^^ I included schools that had over a 65% acceptance rate, figuring if you're here on CC and are looking for "safeties", you probably won't be in that bottom 35%.
