Hello! I'm very interested in applying/hopefully attending the University of Richmond next year. I was wondering what your favorite thing about Richmond is. I would really like to have a student or alumni perspective on what makes Richmond an amazing school! Thank you in advance.

We toured Wake Forest, Duke, Vanderbilt, Johns Hopkins, Washington & Lee, U.Va, and Richmond. Of all these, we found the Richmond administrators and teaching staff were the most supportive and invested in helping students succeed. The science department is outstanding, with relatively young and energetic professors, many with HYP Ph.Ds, who are eager to guide students in meaningful research. Because there is no grad school to siphon off the professors’ research interests, the research focus is left entirely to the undergraduates. Throw all this in with the fact that Richmond has one of the highest endowment per student ratios and it is easy to conclude that Richmond offers tremendous value and opportunity.

It had all of the positive qualities of a small liberal arts school coupled with a top flight business school, the first school of leadership studies in the world coupled with division one athletics that within the past four years has won a national championship in football and made the Sweet 16 in basketball.

I don’t believe there are any other schools in the country that offer a comparable package.

When does the University of Richmond Supplemental essay come out?
