Do you have a huge freshmen backpack? Do you use binders or folders for your classes? And if so, how many do you use? I feel like I am already disorganized less than a couple of months into the school year. So, please just describe your efficient organization system. Trust me, ALL tips will help. thanks :)

Personally I use binder for almost all of my classes but that’s just because regular folders get beat up too easily for my taste. I use A LOT of dividers and if I do have multiple things for a class (like a spiral notebook or something) I color coordinate them. I made sure to pick out a backpack that doesn’t have TOO many pockets and stuff because that’s how I lose things, however large is always better. I’m not super organized but I just figured I would share. Another tip is that when I do have free time I go through all of my folders and put lose papers in their respective places etc.

I know a lot of people like to use a separate binder for each class in order to stay organized, but I use one binder for all of my classes together (except for Spanish because it is required that it has its own binder) and I would consider myself organized. Just don’t keep a bunch of papers from different subjects in your front flap; make sure you take the extra two seconds to put it away where it goes, because this pocket will fill up and become too overwhelming to organize. Also, I like to go through my binder every new and then and take out papers I don’t need (graded tests or worksheets) and put them in a pile at home because all they’re doing is taking up space in my binder.

I have 2 folders, 1 binder, a planner & 8 classes.
I just don’t let myself forget/lose something - never have.

I have a “Freshman Backpack” (despite not being a Freshman) and it makes me feel as though I’m always prepared if I have everything with me. I might be in the early stages of scoliosis though… I have 4 binders, two notebooks, and a homework folder for 6 classes and P.E.

I have one of those regular folders to hold all of my paper. Then I have 1 accordion folder which I empty every ~3 weeks.

I’m also required to have one for APUSH and one for Spanish IV.

So… a folder, 2 binders, and an accordion folder ^_^

I have one folder that I keep my band, computer applications, and photography work in (because I rarely need things for those classes.

I have a 1 inch binder for my college algebra class…and then a 1.5 inch binder for every AP or college class.

Then I have a half inch binder for Spanish.

I REALLY like half inch binders because they’re not bulky, but you can keep them more organized than binders.

As for the backpack thing…everyone at my school uses one.

One accordion folder and an English and Physics journal. Nice and light.

I use 2 binders (1 for English, 1 for World History - My teachers require me to bring binders. Ugh.), 4 folders (Chemistry, French, Math (all we use are worksheets), and a general homework folder), and 2 spiral notebooks for World History and French. I also have to lug around my French textbook and workbook everyday. Occasionally I’ll have to bring my World History textbook to school, too. It isn’t too bad, however, my backpack could be a lot lighter if my English and History teachers didn’t require me to use binders.

It isn’t too efficient, but it works. I just carry everything with me all the time. Haha. I could use my locker, but it’s too far from all my classes.

I use an LL Bean Deluxe Backpack. It’s pretty nice. Fits all my things for school and my big lunch :)

bigblimp: Just out of curiosity…can you tell me what French textbook you use? I need one.

I use Bon voyage! by Glencoe French. It’s not too bad, but it’s a little outdated.

I use a trapper keeper … lol I remember about 5 years ago when they were all the rage …

This one? (I’ll PM you)

If anyone wants a good, super cheap Spanish book(s) (There’s three levels) (I’m not selling it, but you can get it on amazon for a few bucks) PM me. A few things are outdated…because the text was published in 1999.

*What are your methods of organization
^^^ Lol.

I keep an eclectic array of folders in my backpack… A separate color for each subject, I guess. They’re labeled and after a while I just remember the color of each subject and pull the right folder out

pronged folder (essentially a binder without the size) and a notebook for each class
